Estate of Gayfield Shaw purchased by Richard Neylon (Bookseller,
Sydney), then by Josef Lebovic. Gayfield Shaw (Aust., 1885-1961)
was a major figure in the development and promotion of The Painters
and Etchers Society (Sydney) in the 1920s.
A photograph of Shaw at this press was taken by Harold Cazneaux
circa 1918 and featured on the cover of The Painters and Etchers
Society exhibition catalogues.

2 parts, with 5 drawers and 7 cubicles. The drawers comprise
3 full-size and 2 half-size. Made from pine, c1900-1920s.
Three drawers were replaced due to old damage, and the whole
cabinet was repolished about 15 years ago. In good working condition.
